Cher Lloyd would "rather be home" and misses her family

Cher Lloyd, who stormed the UK singles chart yesterday with her debut release 'Swagger Jagger', has revealed that despite her sudden rise to fame she is feeling homesick and misses her family.

Following her performance at London's G-A-Y on Saturday night (August 6), the singer explained that being away from her home in Worcestershire is not only diluting her accent but is causing her to pine for her family:

"People keep meeting me and saying I sound like a farmer, like "ooooh aargh". Hopefully the accent's disappearing because I'm spending so much time in London. I'm staying in hotels and it's not nice. I'd rather be home - where my mum does my washing."

She tweeted a message to her fans, or Brats as she calls them, last night to say thank you for the overwhelming support and subsequent No.1 position of her debut single:

"I'm the happiest girl alive! Thank you for supporting me, and buying the single! This is the best thing thats ever happened to me!"
