Cher Lloyd has unveiled her new dog to fans on Twitter.

The singer took to the social networking website to reveal her "new baby" - a dog.

She posted a picture of herself with the adorable pooch, which is said to be a French bulldog puppy that was made by a specialist breeder.

The former X Factor contestant told her fans:

"My new baby!!!xxx(: thank you so much."

As previously reported, Cher Lloyd recently opened up on her time on the X Factor back in 2010, admitting that she put on a persona during the series.

She conceded: "It wasn't the person I am - I put it on because I was terrified every single day that I was on the TV show."
