Rising pop sensation Ashley Suppa is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from the suburban New York City area. Taken from her new self-titled debut EP, Ashley’s sleek new single ‘Move!’ showcases the fun and flirty side to her music. With an irresistible rhythm and groove-driven energy, ‘Move!’ makes for the perfect opening track to Ashley’s 7-track EP. ‘Move!’ is Ashley’s third single, following her debut release ‘Trouble’ and second single ‘King’, produced by Grammy®-Nominated Alex Salzman and Peter Sackmann.

"Move! is about feeling liberated in the face of music, because of music.

When I wrote the song, I was spending a lot of time reflecting on past situations and their outcomes.

There is one thing that has remained constant through everything, and that is the music. It’s what has always allowed me to remain grounded and take a step back from everything. It also empowered me to create this necessary distance from more complex circumstances I would find myself in with others. I realized that if I had nobody, I would always have music. I wanted “Move!” to be a song that everyone could connect to because music has the power to move people in so many different ways. I hope that this song makes you “Move!”, too!"

Kicking off her music career at just age 6 singing background vocals on renowned guitarist Ace Frehley's (KISS) album ‘Anomaly’, Ashley is now stepping into the limelight as a solo artist with her own sophisticated sound. From an early age, Ashley was continually exposed to music by her father, an accomplished guitarist who played nationally with a variety of notable musicians. At age 12, Ashley started studying guitar as her main instrument after enrolling in a local School of Rock program, where she also studied bass and vocal technique and gained essential experience adapting to the nature of live performance. She consequently joined a local youth theatre group, refining her performance skills in lead and ensemble roles in a multitude of stage productions. When Ashley was 15, she started writing and recording her songs on her first laptop. Quickly embracing technology through programs such as Ableton and Logic, Ashley began to create her own demos.

Ashley credits artists like David Bowie, Lady Gaga, The 1975, Tyler the Creator, Dua Lipa, and Bruno Mars as major influences in her songwriting. She aspires to write songs that reflect the complexity of personal experiences, feelings and perspectives and hopes that her songs empower people of all ages to think deeper about their relationships and interactions with the world around us.

Outside of music, fashion is also one of Ashley's passions and she equates it to songwriting, both being ultimate forms of self-expression. She is often experimenting with her attire choices to encourage authenticity and inspiration to both herself and others. Ashley believes in equality above everything else, stating that it is our job to stand up for those who are being mistreated and to spread the virtues of peace, compassion, and acceptance.

Ashley’s first single ‘Trouble’ has received stellar reviews in publications such as Vents Magazine, Hollywood Digest and has been played on over 3500 radio stations worldwide, with over a million listens on TikTok. Ashley’s follow up single received support from the likes of Clout, FMS, Lock Magazine and Earmilk.
