Christina Aguilera has welcomed her second child into the family.

The singer gave birth to Summer Rain over the weekend alongside fiance Matt Rutler.

It is reported that the girl was brought into the world on Saturday (August 16).

Aguilera tweeted today (August 18): "So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world."

The US star's first child Max was born in 2008.

The father on that occasion was Aguilera's former husband Jordan Bratman.
