Ariana Grande is 'beyond excited and honoured' to duet with Xtina

Earlier this week, it was announced that plans for a duet between Christina Aguilera and a hologram of the late Whitney Houston on The Voice finale had been cancelled.

The pair were scheduled to perform together on the show, but Houston's estate axed the duet after claiming that it wasn't up to scratch.

Pat Houston issued a statement on the cancellation, which read: “After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless."

However, alternative plans for The Voice finale in America have now been made and Xtina will share the stage with none other than Ariana Grande. Aguilera tweeted a message about tonight's duet and wrote: "Excited to share the stage with @ArianaGrande on tomorrow night’s @NBCTheVoice finale. #GirlPower #XtinasFinaleDuet."

Upon seeing the tweet, the 'Dangerous Woman' sensation replied and confessed that she is "beyond excited and honoured" to perform with her on the programme.
