Christina Aguilera promises new album will be quality over quantity

Christina Aguilera has revealed that a new album is on the way, with a promise that it will be quality over quantity.

The 31-year-old, who was appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote the second series of The Voice, told backstage reporter Bryan Branly that her seventh studio effort will be worth the wait:

"It's coming, it's coming, it's coming. I'm very, very excited.

"It's quality not quantity. I don't like to just get songs from producers. I like them to come from a personal place. It's going to be great. I'm very excited."

The ‘Not Myself Tonight’ singer, who recently poked fun at fellow The Voice coach, Adam Levine, for launching a fragrance, had previously revealed that the follow-up to 2010’s 'Bionic' would be a ‘heartfelt’ record inspired by the ups and downs in her personal life.
