Christina Aguilera on body image: 'I've always been too thin'

'Beautiful' songstress Christina Aguilera has opened up about her changing figure and body image in a new interview for October's edition of Lucky magazine.

She has made headlines over the past couple of years for her fluctuating weight, but revealed that she prefers her curves as she often felt as though she was "too thin":

"Actually, the challenge I’ve always had is being too thin, so I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage. Hey, if you can work it and you can own it, that confidence is going to shine through."

Aguilera also spoke about her experience of fame as a teenager and admitted that she thought the way she was dressed by stylists was usually "disgusting":

"When you’re young, it’s so easy to get bull-dozed. There were these two ladies who worked at the record label who always wanted to come to fittings and dress me up like a Barbie doll. It was disgusting."

She is also set to release an album later this year, although the title is yet to be confirmed, but she added that she put her new-found independent attitude into it so fans of 'Fighter' will more than likely enjoy the songs:

"If you love Fighter, you’re going to love my new album. As a 30-year-old woman, I’ve been uncovering my independence, and it’s been really fun to explore in the new songs."
