Australian singer Cody Simpson has graduated from high school at the top of his class.

The ‘Pretty Brown Eyes’ heartthrob achieved the highest grades in his senior class and delivered his valedictorian speech on 22 May in front of his peers in Atlanta, Georgia.

17-year-old Simpson took to Instagram after his graduation ceremony writing:

“Proud times! Graduated high school as valedictorian of my class today.”

He added: “Finished high school at home administered through this lovely school here in the South, proud to have received the highest GPA [grade point average] of the school amidst this hectic lifestyle of mine.”

Cody finished with the inspirational message: “Anything can be accomplished if you open your mind!”

Cody Simpson will be touring the UK in June and July.
