Cody Simpson has defended Justin Bieber after the singer was apparently involved in an incident with Orlando Bloom.

Video footage emerged recently that appeared to show the two celebrities having an argument in a restaurant in Ibiza.

Bloom apparently launched a punch at Bieber, but the footage isn't too conclusive.

The Canadian has since poked fun at the actor on Instagram, but Cody Simpson told The Morning Show that Bieber is still someone he holds in high regard.

The Australian said: "Obviously we're all young and he gets himself into some stuff sometimes. He's a person I'd go to for everything. He's like a big brother.

"He has the world in his hands as he does a lot of good as well. I've got all good things to say."

The two singers meanwhile have been working together in the studio on new material, with Simpson recently suggesting that they have recorded more than just one song.
