Cody Simpson would be content if he never sang any of his pre-2015 songs again

Aussie singer-songwriter Cody Simpson has opened up about his musical tastes in a new interview with ELLE magazine.

When asked if there's a song he would be glad to never sing live again, the heartthrob confessed that he would be happy if he could cut out any of his old material: "Anything pre-2015."

Simpson then admitted that Toploader's 'Dancing In The Moonlight' brings back some amazing memories for him: "[It] brings me back to an epic night with some of my closest mates at a house we all rented for a month." The 'Free' hitmaker also revealed that if he ever decided to get song lyrics tattooed on his body, he knows what he would choose: "'Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, None but ourselves can free our minds' via 'Redemption Song' by Bob Marley."

Back in March, Simpson gave some inspirational advice to his followers and tweeted: "Remember, your external view of the world is a direct reflection of your internal view of yourself! Stay positive. Meditate 10 mins each day and you'll find positivity in balance with yourself! It's unspoken that the universe grants everybody freedom to do whatever we please! Society has just told us to box ourselves in and conform. Break free and dance with life itself. Have a sick time everyday doin' what you want to do."
