Conor Maynard says he recently bumped into Zayn Malik in a recording studio.

The singer has been working with producer Naughty Boy since splitting from One Direction in March.

Speaking to Now, Maynard said that he actually met the Brit in a studio:

"I met Zayn today - he was at the studio with Naughty Boy working on new music. He seemed very quiet but really nice."

The Brighton man added in the same interview that he would be open to working with Malik in the future.

He said: "Would I like to work with him? He's got an amazing voice, so that'd be really cool. 

"It's funny - One Direction fans once made up a fake track list and one of them was a duet between Zayn and me, so maybe it's meant to be."
