Demi Lovato has proclaimed that the opening night of her Neon Lights tour was "amazing".

The singer returned to the live circuit last night (February 9) in Vancouver as she started her North American tour.

She was supported by Little Mix, Cher Lloyd and Fifth Harmony as girl power came to the fore.

Tweeting about the show, Lovato said: "The #NEONLIGHTSTOUR night 1!!!!!! Vancouver you were amazing!!!!!!"

The next stop on the tour meanwhile takes place in San Jose on Tuesday (February 11).

The run comes in support of her 2013 'DEMI' album, which spawned hits such as 'Neon Lights'.
