Demi Lovato has admitted her fear of being "vulnerable" in front of the watching world.

The singer is a global name and this means that she spends her life in the spotlight wherever she goes.

Speaking in a new advertising video for skin company Clean & Clear, Lovato said that she has the same fears as everyone else, such as of spiders.

However, she said that she is also worried about opening herself up in front of the public. The former X Factor USA judge said:

"I'm afraid of being vulnerable in front of the world. It's so scary to think that I may not get to the place where I want to succeed with my music. I just pray that I get to use my voice to the fullest."

The raw video sees Lovato speak about her recovery from entering rehab a few years ago.

However, she stated that she is still a "work in progress" despite some people thinking that she is okay.
