Demi Lovato: 'A guy will get my attention if he's genuine, supportive, and makes me laugh'

Songstress Demi Lovato has opened up about what she looks for in a guy and explained that she loves men that are grounded and genuinely interested in her and what she has to say.

During a new interview with Maxim magazine for its Hot 100 issue, in which she features at No.40, the beauty admitted that a good sense of humour and openness are both really attractive qualities to her:

"To get my attention a guy must be genuine, supportive, real and have the ability to make me laugh."

"To me, sexiness stems from being confident and comfortable in your own skin."

She also confessed that while she works hard to take care of her physique, she also puts a lot of effort into taking care of her mental health as that's just as important to her: "The ability to work at bettering myself -- I'm not perfect, no one is, but I'm working at becoming better everyday. Everyday I can look back and say I'm in a better place than I was yesterday."

Despite openly talking about sexiness, Lovato is still reluctant to talk about sex and said that it's especially awkward because anything she says is likely to be seen by her relatives:

"Sex is a part of life and it's a personal decision. Some people put it in their music, which is awesome and good for them. But for me, there's still that weird feeling in the back of my head that's like, All right, I know that my mom and dad are going to hear it and my little sister, and that's really weird for me."
