'Neon Lights' beauty Demi Lovato has confessed that she has been writing new material. 

The superstar, who just confirmed details of a brand new world tour that will begin in north America later this fall, admitted to Ryan Seacrest that although she is very busy she has managed to find time to work on new music although her focus for the rest of this year will be the live dates:

"I have been working on new music, just for fun. It’s a little early to be working on my newest album. In the meantime, I will be touring, so that’s what I’m mainly focusing on this year.”

Lovato, meanwhile, recently spoke about the pressures of fame and admitted that she is tired of trying to keep up with people's expectations so now only works to impress herself:

"I try not to live up to people's expectations... it's hard because there's a lot of pressure on you as an artist - as a pop artist - to look a certain way or to act a certain way, and for your music to sound a certain way. But I feel that the more I try to please other people the less I am myself, so what I've learned over the past few years is just to be myself. If people don't like it, f**k it. This is who I am."
