Demi Lovato records 'hit' song in studio

Demi Lovato has teased fans by proclaiming that she has recorded a "hit" track.

The singer took to Twitter on Wednesday (July 23) to state that she has been working on an "amazing" song.

The US star said: "In the studio recording a hit...Mark my words!!! It's AMAZING!!!!"

Lovato's last album meanwhile came in the shape of 2013's 'DEMI', which spawned tracks like 'Neon Lights' and 'Really Don't Care'.

The record reached No.3 in the US when it was released in May, with the album peaking at No.2. in the UK.

Speaking recently meanwhile about where she gets inspiration for her often vibrant hair colours, Lovato said: "I was kind of bored of the colours that I've had and I wanted something that wasn't as like out there as hot pink. So I changed it. I love lavender and I thought silver could be really cool, too.

"I love going on Pinterest and looking at different hair colours. Whenever I see like a cool colour I sit with it for a little bit, and if it's really, really good then I'll get it."
