Demi Lovato is in the voice cast for the next Smurfs movie.

The singer will play the part of Smurfette in Get Smurfy.

The film is due to be released on March 31 in 2017.

The movie will follow Smurfette and her brothers as they attempt to find a Smurfs village.

Mandy Patinkin will voice Papa Smurf, whilst Rainn Wilson will play Gargame.

The role of Smurfette was previously held by Katy Perry.

Lovato meanwhile is currently recording her next album.

Her previous record 'DEMI' was released in 2013.
