Demi Lovato on confidence: 'I've never been so sure of myself as an artist'

'Cool For The Summer' beauty Demi Lovato has revealed that she feels more confident than ever where her upcoming new album is concerned.

During a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the superstar admitted that she is very sure of her sound and musical direction, and can't wait to show her fans what she's been working on.

Lovato explained that she knows what she's capable of and believes she has exercised her full potential with this forthcoming new record: "I've never been so sure of myself as an artist when it comes down to confidence, but not only personal things, but exactly what I want my sound to be and what I know I'm capable of and this album will give me the opportunity to show people what I can really do."

As previously reported, Lovato also opened up about her relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama and told the magazine that their romance got off to a rocky start: "We started dating when I turned 18...Right after that, I went to rehab. People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it.' But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about'. We relate on a lot of levels. I've seen a lot of s**t. S**t people don't know about."
