Demi Lovato addresses rumours that suggest 'CFTS' is about Ruby Rose

Superstar Demi Lovato has addressed rumours surrounding her single 'Cool For The Summer' and who it was supposedly written about.

Reports have surfaced over the past few weeks that Lovato may have been inspired by actress Ruby Rose although she has now confirmed that she has never had a relationship with the screen star, telling Complex magazine:

"I don't feel like any of my past or future — when it comes to relationships that may have happened or not have happened — are of any concern to anybody. What matters to me is my relationship with Wilmer. We are in an amazing place. Rumours are rumours, and people are going to spread them."

Referring directly to the reports that suggest she was at one point romantically involved with the 'Orange Is The New Black' actress, Lovato added: "You can believe what you want, but no, I was not in a relationship with her."

In mid-September, the hitmaker told Britain's TV host Alan Carr that she wrote the single from personal experience and left it at that: "All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don't think there is anything wrong with experimentation at all.”
