Demi Lovato to speak at the Forbes Women's Summit

Superstar Demi Lovato has been confirmed as one of the speakers for the upcoming annual Forbes Women’s Summit: Power Redefined.

The theme of this year's event is Significance As The New Success and it will take place on May 12 in New York City. Lovato will be involved in the symposium and the aim of the event is to "bridge the gap between generations in order to tackle today’s most critical issues in unconventional ways, and through a more expansive lens."

A statement on the Forbes website explains, "the day’s conversations will cover topics including education, leadership, entrepreneurship, and health." Other confirmed speakers include 'Sex and the City' superstar Sarah Jessica Parker, Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore, and Ivanka Trump.

Lovato, meanwhile, was recently chosen to receive the Vanguard Award at the impending GLAAD Media Awards. This particular prize is given to "media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance."
