"Cool For The Summer" sensation Demi Lovato has decided to step away from music and the entertainment for now because she doesn't feel comfortable in that world at the moment. 

She made the announcement on her Twitter page this week and told her followers: "So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight.. I am not meant for this business and the media."

When asked by a fan if she's likely to return to the industry after taking some time off, Demi Lovato tweeted: "Dunno. It doesn't feel worth it anymore. I'd rather do charity work tbh."

On October 4, the songstress explained that she doesn't like the backlash that seems to occur every time she does an interview: "I don't understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews? Do y'all watch the news? Don't y'all got shit to worry about?"
