Former Disney star and current X Factor USA panelist Demi Lovato has admitted that working with Britney Spears on the show is overwhelming because she looks up to her as a role model.

Speaking backstage at last night's (September 6) Video Music Awards, the 'Give Your Heart A Break' beauty explained that one of the first albums she bought was by Spears so it's an honour to be on the same judging team as her:

"Working with someone I idolised growing up is a dream come true? The fact that I'm getting to sit next to her in real life for any reason is pretty incredible. The new season of X Factor is going to be amazing, with tons of drama between the contestants, which I haven't seen but I'm dying to see."

Lovato also picked up the VMA for Best Video With A Message for her single 'Skyscraper' yesterday and recently revealed in an interview with US TV's Live! With Kelly and Michael that she's considering removing some of her tattoos because she's not sure how they will age with her body.
