Demi Lovato would be "so excited" to collaborate with Britney Spears

Beauty Demi Lovato has previously spoken about working alongside her "idol" Britney Spears on X Factor USA, but she has now admitted that collaborating with the pop princess would be a dream come true.

The singer and actress, who is this year's newest recruit on the popular TV show's panel, told Pop Sugar that she would love to record a track with Spears although it hasn't been something they have discussed - yet:

"I would love to. I would be so excited to. There hasn't been any talks now but I keep putting out there in the universe so that hopefully one day it'll happen."

The 'Skyscraper' hitmaker also opened up about what her fans should expect from her upcoming new record and explained that it's an eclectic mix of genres, but won't include dubstep because it's overdone:

"Fans can expect a less dancy-pop album. I'm trying to stay away from EDM on this album and no dubstep for me. I miss hearing real instruments on the radio and I wanna be able to bring that back. That's important me. I want my sound and lyrics to mature as well as I have the past year."
