X Factor judge Demi Lovato loves co-star Simon Cowell "to death".

The songstress starred on last season's panel alongside Cowell, Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.

Lovato loves that she shared a close relationship with the judges.

She said: "Professionally, it's been amazing to work with [Britney], but behind the scenes as well she's a really sweet girl and I'm really lucky I got to work with her and L.A. and Simon.

"But even behind the scenes with Simon, I love him to death but he does get on my nerves."

Reid and Spears announced their departures from the show.

Lovato is pleased to be back for next season though.

She told the Kyle and Jackie O radio show: "It was just something that I felt really nervous about and it turned out to be really great.

"I am the type of person that doesn't hold back - especially when it comes to Simon Cowell."
