Demi Lovato on 'Made In The USA' video: 'I didn't want to be in it at all'

Pop superstar and 'X Factor USA' panelist Demi Lovato has revealed that she initially didn't want to be in her latest music video.

Speaking to MTV News about the clip, which she co-directed, the beauty confessed that she had such a strong vision for the video that she didn't want to mess with it by acting in the scenes as well:

"I knew it was going to be my next single from my album and this is what I do: If I know what my next single is, I'm immediately thinking of the concept. I wanted it to look like a short film. I want people to connect with the characters, and I actually didn't want to be in it at all."

"I wanted to be all behind the camera, and then my label and everyone was like, 'You have to be in the video, it's your song.' So, I was like, 'Alright, fine, I'll be in the video.' And that's why it's just a few performance shots, and I also wanted to tie the performance into how they (the characters) met."
