'Heart Attack' beauty Demi Lovato has revealed that her maternal instinct has kicked in despite being only 21-years-old and she thinks her Texan upbringing is to blame for wanting to start a family at such a young age. 

During an interview with the December issue of Latina magazine, she explained that being brought up in the south meant being exposed to the family mentality and having children early on so she feels as if she should already be thinking about that:

"I'm a Texas girl, so my instinct is to have babies early. In my heart I'm like, 'OK, it's time to have babies!' I have so much life ahead of me that I actually have to slow my roll. We'll see where my life is in five years, but I definitely see myself as a mom in ten."

Meanwhile, she is due to release her debut book later this month (November 19), entitled 'Staying Strong', and has also created her own line of nail polish and nail embellishments, which you can see below.
