Songstress Demi Lovato has reached out to the UK's new 'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey and congratulated her on the success. 

Bailey was crowned the winner of the latest series over the weekend and will be releasing her own rendition of Lovato's hit 'Skyscraper' as her winner's single, which the American beauty has now praised in a public Twitter post. 

She wrote to former prison officer Bailey this afternoon (December 17): "Congratulations @SamBaileyREAL on winning X Factor UK!! Love your version of 'Skyscraper'!"

Bailey, who has revealed that she's excited about her new journey but worried about the potential intrusions into her privacy from photographers, took to her own Twitter page and added: "Thanks for all your support! Can’t wait to see you all again when I perform in The X Factor Live Tour next year! xxx"
