Gry Official is a South East Londoner/Nigerian Hip-Hop/Rap Artist heavily influenced by Hip Hop Rap & R&B, Trap, Grime, Tropical Music / Afrobeat and all-round Pop Culture. As well as being humble and focused, he is an artist whose aim is to simply provide good vibes, spread good energy, make people laugh, dance and is a true believer of musical healing. Add into that a relentless edgy and an underground gritty rawness sensation: and you get a true essence of his music.

Even in his younger days, he was tipped for great things: At 14 he was sent off to Nigeria for the best part of 2 years by his parents when there were high interests in the rising star. There he fine-tuned his performance style and subsequently jumped on a huge University tour. On returning to the UK he performed in front of 30,000 people at well renowned festivals, clubs and Universities including: The SEC Centre, The 02, Ministry of Sound and many more.

Things did not stop there: he went on to be nominated for an Official Mixtape Award, released 4 musical projects – one of which (Gry meets Mix) hosted by DJ Limelight (BBC Asian Network). His first Single “You Can’t Touch This” featured on the UK’s leading broadcast channel LinkupTV featuring “Jamm Tyme” which got picked up by WorldStar Reggae and gained an astonishing 100,000 plays. His second release “Freddy Krueger” followed featuring “Novokane” supported by GRM Daily & LinkUpTV which also racked up over 100,000 views on Gry Official’s very own Youtube Channel. Since then he has conjured up hundreds of thousands of views / plays online and has been nationally playlisted (BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Kiss Fresh, Kiss FM)

Gry Official is now back with the single “Take Me Away”. The track possesses great energy and progression; is commercially accessible yet exudes a hard-hitting Afro Pop vibe and layers of Afro House, Afro Funk & Afro Beats. In his own words the track is about: “expelling ourselves from the slightest sense of an inhospitable environment - whether it be a relationship, club etc.” Something we can all very much relate to.

Gry Official is currently working with Lewi White, DJ Shocker “The Body Rocker” (Genius Cru), SilvaStone, KC Pozzy, Ayo Beatz and more towards his debut album.
