Show goes on for Amy Winehouse's goddaughter

Dionne Bromfield received tons of support and raptuous applause when during her performance last night at Welsh music festival Ponty's Big Weekend, shortly after the hearing news of the death of her godmother, Amy Winehouse.

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in North London yesterday (July 23) afternoon. Her death the death is "unexplained" but not thought to be suspicious, according to police. Investigations are ongoing.

Christian Hanagan, head of strategy for the festival, said in a statement: "Dionne performed but she did leave immediately afterwards. It was a good performance.

"We were aware of the issues and the crowd was aware too and they gave her a rapturous applause."

Bromfield received mass media attention when she became the first signing to family friend Winehouse's record label, Lioness.

Amy Winehouse's last public appearance was last Wednesday (July 20) when she joined Bromfield onstage during her performance of 'Mama Says' at the iTunes Festival.
