Dove Cameron has released a brand new single titled Out of Touch, accompanied by a music video.

The video depicts our heroine on a rooftop, singing directly to the camera as if she's addressing her lover about a tiff they've had and how, despite everything, he's the only one for her.

In the chorus, she sings:

Baby, I hope that it’s
You, ooh, ooh
Baby, I hope that it’s
You, ooh, ooh
Baby, I hope that it’s you.

The singer-songwriter said in a statement: "I am so stoked to finally release Out of Touch.

“It was the very first track I recorded at the start of this new music era, and still one of my favorites that I have done so far. It’s a big step toward finding my sound as a new artist.”

Cameron launched her eagerly awaited solo recording career earlier this year with EP, Bloodshot/Waste on September 27 via Columbia Records.

The star is best known and loved as one of the 'core four' from Disney's Descendants, and has scored three No. 1 albums with their soundtracks.

Since the completion of the Descendants' trilogy, Cameron has been super busy, and even tread the boards at London's Royal Festival Hall in the UK's Southbank Centre, where she played one of the lead characters to critical acclaim this summer in the musical, The Light in the Piazza.

Cameron's dream came true playing the role of Clara in the musical, with her stating: "It’s been my favourite musical score since I was really young.”

The talented actress also appeared alongside country legend Dolly Parton and Jennifer Anniston in the movie, Dumplin'.

Singing comes naturally to this fast-rising starlet, and Cameron's acting ability shines through in the video which you can watch below.
