Drake dominates US albums chart and destroys streaming record

Drake's new album has reached No.1 in the US, setting a new streaming record in the process.

The hip-hop man recently released his latest effort 'Views'.

It shifted 1.04 million equivalent album units in its first week to land at No.1 on the Billboard 200.

Traditional album sales accounted for 852,000 copies.

The record's songs meanwhile were streamed a total of 245.1 million times in the US in its first week.

The previous biggest week for streams was around 100 million for Justin Bieber's 'Purpose'.

All of Drake's four albums have reached No.1 on the US chart.
