Drake leads Spotify's annual Wrapped feature, named most popular on streaming service

Canadian hitmaker Drake leads Spotify's annual Wrapped feature, which reveals the most streamed music of the last twelve months

In the rundown the 'Hotline Bling' sensation won the title of most streamed artist and he also landed the most streamed track ('One Dance') and album ('Views') awards. Drake enjoyed 4.7 billion streams in total this year and 'One Dance' has also been named the most streamed song in Spotify history with 950 million plays.

Spotify’s Chief Content and Chief Strategy Officer Stefan Bloom issued a statement on Drake's popularity on the streaming platform, which reads: "Drake has been unstoppable this year - he’s a true global superstar."

Drake will return to the UK in 2017 for a tour, which will see him perform at venues across the country from London to Birmingham and Manchester. Click here for more information about his tour.
