Gastonia, NC – November 9th, 2024 – Styles by DQ is thrilled to announce the Royal Harlem Renaissance Fashion Show, an evening set to celebrate the glamour, style, and culture of the iconic Harlem Renaissance era. Join us for a night where history and fashion intersect, bringing the sophistication of the 1920s and 1930s to life.

Time: Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM with light refreshments

Red Carpet Event: 42 Models will l strut down the red carpet in their best 1920s and 1930s Old Hollywood Glam attire, perfectly setting the tone for an evening of elegance and nostalgia.

Attire: The dress code for the event is strictly 1920s and 1930s Old Hollywood Glam, reflecting the fashion and sophistication of the Harlem Renaissance.

Color Scheme: White, purple and gold

Entertainment

Live Band and Dancers: The evening will feature live music and mesmerizing dance performances, evoking the spirit and rhythm of the Harlem Renaissance. The vibrant beats and movements will transport guests back to a time of cultural rebirth and artistic innovation.

Special Performance by Singer Miyoni Takora: Guests will be enchanted by the soulful and powerful performance of Miyoni Takora, whose music will add a touch of modern elegance to the evening.

Models: Featuring 52 models from Charlotte, South Carolina, Florida, and surrounding areas, the runway will come alive with a diverse array of looks and styles, each telling a unique story of glamour and grace.

Tribute and Purpose

In Memory of Latoya Grier: This event is dedicated to the memory of Latoya Grier, who tragically lost her battle with cancer this year. Latoya was a beloved member of the community, and her strength and spirit continue to inspire those around her. This tribute aims to honor her legacy and raise awareness about cancer, highlighting the importance of early detection and research.

Event Schedule

5:30 PM - Cocktail Hour: Guests will be welcomed with light refreshments, offering a perfect start to an evening of fashion and entertainment.

7:00 PM - Fashion Show Begins: The main event will commence with the stunning runway show, featuring the collections from our esteemed designers.

Live Performances: Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live music and dance performances, culminating in a special performance by Miyoni Takora.
