Modernroko On His Way To Country Music Stardom

Modernroko is an emerging country music artist from San Diego. He began his musical journey by learning to play gospel and classical music, starting with the cello and bass at the age of 11. By the age of 13, he transitioned to creating hip hop beats, collaborating with his father to produce new sounds influenced by artists like Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire.

As he delved deeper into the hip hop scene, Modernroko found himself surrounded by negative influences related to drugs and a harmful lifestyle. Despite this, he remained focused on creating positive hip hop music to connect with his generation. However, as he observed the industry shifting towards darker themes, he decided to make a change in his life and outlook.

Modernroko's introduction to country music came through witnessing Luke Combs in the early stages of his career, which inspired him with its positivity and inspiration. He then explored artists such as Chris Stapleton, Kane Brown, and his personal favorite, Johnny Cash. Motivated by the birth of his daughter, Modernroko shifted his focus towards creating a more positive impact through his music.

After immersing himself in the country music scene for a year, Modernroko began working on his first country album, drawing inspiration from his experiences and newfound perspective on life. Despite facing various challenges along the way, he remained dedicated to crafting songs that reflected his journey and values.

Modernroko is set to release his new country album in the upcoming year and can be found performing at various karaoke spots in Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, and Escondido. He looks forward to potentially collaborating with artists such as Luke Combs, Post Malone, and Kane Brown in the future.
