Ed Sheeran on plans for this year: 'I want to sweep the globe'

'Sing' superstar Ed Sheeran has confessed that he has lofty goals for the next 12 months and wants to aim for musical world domination.

Speaking to The Daily Star, the flame-haired hitmaker explained that he has always been the kind of person to want to go bigger and better than he could ever imagine and this next year, career wise, will be no exception to his rule:

"I remember playing alone to a room of 500 people and thinking, 'I don't think I can do this with my guitar and loop pedal, I need a band'. But I did it, then I played bigger venues until I did an arena in Nottingham."

"After that there are not many limits to the loop pedal, but if I can do it at a stadium then I'll be done. Each year I create a goal for myself, this year it's the world. I really want to sweep the globe."

Earlier today (April 9), Sheeran confirmed the final tracklisting for his upcoming album and added that a deluxe edition will also be made available, which will include bonus material: "There is also a deluxe album with 4 extra tracks. Those are - Take it back, Even my dad does sometimes, Shirtsleeves and I see fire x"
