Ed Sheeran reveals Usher and Skrillex collaboration

Ed Sheeran has worked with Usher and Skrillex on a new song.

The unlikely collaboration came about after the singer-songwriter sat beside Usher at a meal to celebrate Jewish holiday Passover in April.

He told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe that he got talking to the 'Good Kisser' star before a collaboration was mooted.

Sheeran said: "I was at a Passover dinner and sat next to Usher, it was quite random. I met him once before, but never enough to be like 'Yo what's up man?', but he went over to me with his phone and he's like 'Yo check it out' and he downloaded 'Sing'.

"And he was like 'Yo, man, do you want to get in the studio sometime?' and I was like 'Yes, Usher, I would love to get into the studio sometime'."

The 'x' star added that after some text messaging, Skrillex and Diplo were drafted in to work with them on a song, which will most likely feature on Usher's next album.

Sheeran continued: "[Usher was] like, 'Yeah, we are just getting started'. And I went down and we made this awesome song. I had this guitar idea on my phone it was literally just a voice note and I emailed it to Skrillex then he took it in sampled it and made a beat out of it, and then me and Usher just went back and forth on melody ideas and lyric ideas."
