Ed Sheeran reveals dream collaboration

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that there's one person he would love to collaborate with and there was a point where he was so close, but the star was working on another project at the time.

Speaking to On Air with Ryan Seacrest recently, the 'Sing' superstar admitted that he really wanted to work with Timbaland, but the super-producer was working on Justin Timberlake and Jay Z's music when they ran into each other:

"I went in with Timbaland just to kind of play him music and talk about stuff, but he was doing the [Justin] Timberlake and Jay Z albums at that time, so we didn’t get to make music. So I’d like to go in with him in the future.”

Earlier this week, Sheeran told Radio.com that he doesn't agree with people who shame pop music or call it 'uncool' to be a fan of because it influences everything

“Pop (and, especially, hip-hop) producers are as important as rock auteurs, Beyoncé is as worthy of serious consideration as Bruce Springsteen, and ascribing shame to pop pleasure is itself a shameful act. I’d say pop music is still the No. 1 music that people listen to and has been for the past 70 years, 80 years — however many years,” Sheeran said. “As long as it’s popular, it’s pop music I guess.”
