Ed Sheeran on fame: 'If I'm still living this life in 10 years, please slap me'

'Lego House' hitmaker Ed Sheeran has revealed that he doesn't want to be at the same level of fame he's at now in 10 years because it's exhausting.

Speaking to Parade magazine, the superstar admitted that while he's really enjoying his success, he can't imagine himself living the same lifestyle when he's in his mid thirties: "I know this isn’t going to last forever. Now is the time when I’m making my musical statements and being cool and going to parties. But I don’t think I’ll be living this life in 10 years’ time. If I am, please slap me.”

When asked where he would like to be in 10 years, Sheeran added that he hopes to be settled down with a family: "Back home, bunch of kids. At 33, I should be starting to settle down.”

During an interview with E! News recently, Sheeran confessed that everything he's doing now will give him great stories to tell when he's old: "In Hollywood I just kind of like to be open and go out and enjoy myself, and make stories. You know, make stories that I can tell in 20 years and be like, 'That happened one time, that was pretty fun."
