Ed Sheeran's 'x' goes No.1 in 65 countries

Ed Sheeran's new album has topped charts in 65 countries across the world.

The singer-songwriter unleashed his second record 'x' on Monday (June 23) and it appears to be performing remarkably well.

The Brit himself took to Twitter today (June 24) to post: "Album is #1 in 65 countries including Ghana."

Sheeran had released a song each day last week in the build-up to the album, with Sheeran dominating the iTunes singles chart in the process.

Some of the tracks that feature on the new album include 'Afire Love', 'Thinking Out Loud' and the hit single 'Sing'.

'x' follows up Sheeran's 2011 debut album '+', which spawned hits such as 'The A Team' and 'Lego House'.
