British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he loves music festivals because everyone is in the same situation and people really let go and enjoy themselves. 

The 'Lego House' superstar explained that not showering and being in a field with your friends for a few days is a great experience and because no one looks their best, it's easier to just get into the vibe and 'lose yourself':

"Festivals are best place to lose yourself. After 3 days of not washing, not showering, not putting your make-up on if you're a girl. You don't really give a f**k about what you look like any more. So why not dance like an idiot?"

Earlier this month, the hitmaker confessed that his enjoyment of watching gigs seems to have lessened lately because every time he watches a band, he wishes he could be up on stage performing: "I don't enjoy watching another act perform because I just think, 'Oh man, I want to be up there.' That's why I don't enjoy festivals anymore."
