Ed Sheeran: 'I love having tracks on One Direction's record and then doing a song with Rick Ross'

Ed Sheeran says he doesn't like being "predictable".

The singer-songwriter has worked with a variety of artists in his career, from Taylor Swift and One Direction to grime and rap stars.

Speaking to MTV's Zane Lowe, the Brit said that he enjoys having his fingers in different pies when it comes to artistry.

He said: "I don't like being predictable. I love being able to have a couple of cuts on One Direction's record and then do a song with Rick Ross. I love being able to do that.

"I remember the week that Taylor's Swift's album came out with my song on the album; Giggs' album came out and I was on his album as well and being to do those two things and not have anyone think that's weird - I like it."

Sheeran meanwhile has just enjoyed his fourth successive week at the top of the UK albums chart with his new record 'x'.
