Ed Sheeran on 'x' staying No.1 for seven weeks: 'It's getting more and more surreal'

Ed Sheeran has admitted that things are getting "surreal" as his new album continues to top the UK chart.

The singer-songwriter's second record 'x' has now stayed at No.1 on the list for seven weeks in a row.

It seems this has come as a surprise to Sheeran, who took to Twitter to say:

"7 weeks at #1 in the uk, it's getting more and more surreal. Thanks again to everyone supporting the album and stuff x."

'x' - which follows up Sheeran's 2011 debut '+' - features tracks like 'Sing' and 'Don't'.

Speaking recently meanwhile about his future productivity, the Brit said:

"There's enough math symbols I think...I'm not planning on doing like 50 albums. Well maybe, you never know."
