Ed Sheeran on success: 'This ginger kid with a small guitar can sell out arenas'

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that every day he wakes up feeling grateful for what he has managed to do as a 'kid with a small guitar' in the music industry.

Speaking to Britain's GQ magazine, the superstar admitted that he can't believe how far he has come over the past few years and it's impressive to think that he has achieved everything with just his voice and guitar:

"Every single day something new happens that is utterly mental and I have to be like, 'What is going on?' So what amazes me is how far I can take it. This ginger kid with a small guitar being able to sell out arenas around the world is a really, really weird thing."

As previously reported, the 'Lego House' sensation told the publication that he has one huge goal remaining: "I want to sell out Wembley. Just me and my guitar. 80,000 people. Solo. It'll be expensive but what a moment. Maybe next summer. I don't see the glass ceiling yet and I have never reached a point where I'm like, 'OK that's it, enough, I'm done.' It's about how big it can get and how many records I can sell and how big the fan base can really be."
