Ed Sheeran is celebrating after his latest album spent its 53rd week in the Irish chart's top ten.

The singer-songwriter unleashed his current effort 'x' in 2014.

It has been confirmed that the record has now spent over a year in Ireland's albums chart top ten.

The record is heading towards being crowned 10x platinum in the country.

Sheeran meanwhile has achieved similar chart feats recently.

'X' has just spent a year in the Australian top ten, whilst the track 'Thinking Out Loud' has now spent 52 consecutive weeks in the UK top 40.
