Ed Sheeran releasing brand new collaboration for free later today

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will be releasing a new collaboration later today and, much to his fans' delight, it will be free to download.

The superstar took to his official Twitter page this morning (August 5) and confirmed the exciting news, writing: "New song dropping at 5pm today UK time. Oh, and it's free. It's a new collaboration and you think you've guessed it but you haven't innit. 5pm GMT."

Back in July, Sheeran teased that he was planning on releasing a new collaboration with someone he has already worked with and told Global that it won't be another song from his latest album because he isn't dropping any further singles from 'x':

"I’m not releasing another single from this album but there will be another song that comes out over the summer, with someone else! I’ve collaborated with them before."
