Courteney Cox says she hopes Ed Sheeran will perform at her wedding.

The former Friends actress is expected to tie the knot with Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid in the near future.

Singer-songwriter Sheeran was the link that brought the two celebrities together.

Speaking to The Sun, Cox said that she wants the 'x' hitmaker to provide music at her wedding.

She said: "We are certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us.

"I can't imagine him not playing something at the wedding. It'll be a musical night."

Sheeran meanwhile recently performed at Ronan Keating's wedding in Scotland.
