Ed Sheeran's new single will be his last "for a long time"

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced that he will be unveiling a brand new single later this week and it will be his last one for "a long time".

He took to his official Twitter page this afternoon (September 22) and told his followers that the song will be a collaboration with Rudimental and it's due to drop this coming Friday:

"Got a brand new single coming out Friday, with @RudimentalUk, called Lay It All On Me. Watch out for it. That's the last song il be releasing for a long time, 'til album 3, hope you like it. I set up a snap chat too, which was a bad idea. Follow it on teddysdaytoday."

Sheeran's first-ever concert movie, entitled 'Jumpers For Goalposts', will also premiere on October 22 and there will be an exciting event to accompany the release in London at Leicester Square. Tickets for showings at local participating cinemas will go on sale from Thursday, September 24 here
