Ed Sheeran, Queen and James Bay among winners at Q Awards

Ed Sheeran and Queen were among the winners at this year's Q Awards.

The event took place today (October 19) in London as the music magazine paid tribute to some of music's top names.

Sheeran bagged the Best Solo Artist prize, while Foals won the Best Act In The World Today, Today! prize.

Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' won Classic Single, while James Bay went home with the Best New Act honour.

Florence + The Machine won Best Video ('Ship To Wreck'), Royal Blood pocketed Best Live Act and Noel Gallagher went home with Best Album for 'Chasing Yesterday'.

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi collected the Les Paul Award, while Gary Numan got Innovation In Sound Award. Mark Ronson won the Hero honour.

New Order meanwhile went home with the Outstanding Contribution To Music prize, with Duran Duran winning the 2015 Q Icon award.
