Ed Sheeran confirmed to perform at Race in America concertBritish singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been confirmed to perform at an upcoming concert that will aim to ease racial tensions In America. He will headline the Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on 18 November along with Pharrell Williams and Bruce Springsteen. A+E Networks President Nancy Dubuc issued a statement about the event, which reads: "By shining a light on the uncomfortable truth that racial inequity and bias still impact our society, we are looking to inspire people to go beyond short-lived, symbolic gestures." The concert is being organised by the USA's A+E Network as a response to the terrible shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina in June that took the lives of 9 people.
