Ed Sheeran has hinted via a teaser video on Instagram that his highly anticipated next record could be called 'Divide'.

The singer-songwriter previously revealed that he will release new music on Friday (January 6) and a new clip posted online has possibly given away the title of his next album.

The video sees a divide sign flashing on the screen, with the caption confirming that his new song will land at 5am UK time on Friday and midnight ET time. It looks as if Sheeran is continuing his mathematical theme, with his 2011 debut called '+' and his 2014 follow-up going by the name of 'x'.
